Kumar Group of Industries, based in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, was established in 1969. It is a multi-location and diversified group with a strong presence in Mining-Sand Gravel, Stone Crushing, Construction, Infrastructure, Hospitality, Real Estate, Automobile, Industrial & Medical Gases, and Agro Forestry. Our flagship company, LSC Infratech Ltd., is Asia’s largest stone crushing company, producing crushed stone grits and sand. With a workforce of 1500 employees, LSC Infratech Ltd. set up its first unit in 1991 at Haldwani, District Nainital (U.K.) under the name Lalkuan Stone Crushers Ltd.

LSC Infratech Ltd. is the most well-organized and largest producer in the sand and stone mining industry in the country, delivering high-quality sand and crushed stone grits using world-class technology from America, Germany, Ireland, and China. The company operates 10 state-of-the-art plants in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, ensuring sustainable development and maintaining an average production capacity of 130 lakh MT/year.

In 2012, the group ventured into the automobile retail sector by acquiring a Mahindra & Mahindra dealership in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, under the name Kumar Autowheels Pvt. Ltd. This marked our entry into the booming automotive retail market. In 2017, we expanded further by acquiring a Jeep dealership with a 3S showroom and workshop in Dehradun under the banner of LSC Autowheels Pvt. Ltd. Our journey of expansion and diversification continues, and the credit for our success goes to the dedication and teamwork of our employees.

We have always maintained a Corporate culture just like an MNC. While many typical Indian Corporate organizations encourage politics and selfishness where credit for good work is usurped by others and the honest worker is left behind- we at Kumar Group have a culture where we give value to transparency and give the due credit to our people who work with responsibility. That is why we have adopted professional systems – similar to ones that are in a MNC organization. Suggestions are taken from people from the top to the bottom level and these are then implemented. In fact at the Group, even the Assistant Manager level people are given excellent remuneration as these are the people who do the real tedious work.

At KGI, we have maintained a record that for the last 50 years – there is no Workers Union. All the workers and other employees have in fact never felt the need for a Union as all their needs- personal or official are taken care of by the Management. Our doors are always open to help any of our team members. Our employees therefore focus on their work and there is immense bonding between them and the company.
